SMI is a three piece single acting sealing set which consists of one reinforced cotton fabric or thermoplastic elastomer back-up ring , one specially designed multiple lipped elastomeric nitrile rubber sealing element and one thermoplastic anti-extrusion ring.

APPLICATION:

INSTALLATION:
 
Installation for open slots. For installing in a closed groove, the support ring should be in an angle of 75 ° are doorgesnijden. It is important that the assembly tool has to be soft material, and no sharp edges. Must be oiled with system oil for the installation of all the individual parts of the seal.

NOTES: For special applications that require high temperatures , our seal set is being manufactured in the following configuration , FPM header ring , back-up ring and anti-extrustion rings from special mixture of PTFE material.

Note: The largest sealing gap value occurring on the non-pressurized side of the seal does have a vital importance for the function of the seal and in this respect it is quite important to use the S value lower than the above indicated numbers.
